Patch Kantha Jacket

Our Kantha Jacket is made from vintage Kantha Blankets. It has a loose body shape with an open front, half-roomy sleeves and front square pockets. One size and one of a kind.

This unique jacket is up-cycled from a vintage Kantha blanket. The kantha embroidery technique, creatively up-cycles old cotton saris, that were worn by Indian women, giving them new life as clothing items, blankets, or bedspreads. The old fabric are placed on top of each other and hand stitched together, using the traditional kantha embroidery technique. This technique is characterized by the many rows of short, continuous stitches. Each Kantha item is one-of-a-kind in both print and color combination.
