Cushion Cover 50x50

Our Kantha cushion cover is made from vintage Kantha Blankets therefore might have patches and some imperfections that are part of it's unique story.

This unique cover is up-cycled from a vintage Kantha blanket. The kantha embroidery technique, creatively up-cycles old cotton saris, that were worn by Indian women, giving them new life as clothing items, blankets, or bedspreads. The old fabric are placed on top of each other and hand stitched together, using the traditional kantha embroidery technique. This technique is characterized by the many rows of short, continuous stitches. Each Kantha item is one-of-a-kind in both print and color combination.
